Baldwin took to the site on Tuesday to respond to negative remarks left on the post that she said “seemed to be getting out of hand” and “in a place of bodily shame.”

Baldwin said she has a good sense of humor but is concerned that some of the remarks may not reflect the bodily inclusion she hopes to see in society.

“Now does it hurt if people I don’t even know criticize why I might post a photo?” she said. “If I had looked differently, would I have posted this photo?” I hope so.

“Because I love looking at pictures, supporting our bodies, our temple that we live in 24/7 – I love that. No matter what you look like, I love it. If you honor yourself and celebrate yourself, I love it.

Baldwin addressed what she thought was at the heart of the offensive remarks, saying, “It’s like the whole ‘Oh, moms don’t look like that’ thing – some moms do. This mom does. And I’m included in the inclusiveness… that’s what I look like, you know? I come from smaller people, I’ve been a fitness person my whole life, and voila.

She wrote in the caption, “I’m an advocate for body positivity and inclusiveness… which, let’s remember, includes everyone. “

Schumer later wrote: “I’m sorry! to Baldwin after the chain of inadvertent events.
