X Factor finalist Andy Abraham returns to Binman job due to lack of gigs

Andy Abraham, X Factor finalist in 2005, has resumed his work as a binman in order to keep his feet on the ground during the pandemic.The star has picked up where he left off from his pre-fame job to keep busy due to the lack of work available in the entertainment industry at the moment.

Andy, who was named the ‘Singing Binman’ during his time on the Simon Cowell talent show, worked as a binman in London before entering the ITV competition.

He recently returned to work in an effort to help the community, telling Metro, “I literally sing out there like I was on the X Factor show. I became the official binman again, which is pretty cool. I just enjoy keeping my feet on the ground. “



X Factor finalist Andy Abraham picked up where he left off from his pre-fame job to keep himself busy due to the lack of work available in the entertainment industry at the moment.

The star added, “People are very, very encouraging, they are really, really happy to see us. I have even had people ask me to sing! I sang there and it’s fun. [people] Realize the voice I had back then and why they supported me. ”

Andy was a fan favorite on the show’s second series 15 years ago.

It was moments away from being crowned the winner until Shayne Ward rushed for the crown.



He was a finalist on X Factor in 2005

Andy signed a deal with Sony and released four albums after the series.

His very first album reached number two on the UK charts.

He performed for Nelson Mandela and even sold Albert Hall.



The star is struggling to find a live job at the moment

But his second album only reached number 19 and the record company quickly dropped him.

Andy was then declared bankrupt in 2012.

Since then he has performed in pantos and continued to work as an event singer.
