Mike Tyson seems to be a much calmer and more conent character these days, but he wasn’t in the mood to forgive when he met Don King on stage at an event in 2018.
The former undisputed heavyweight world champion had long fallen out with his former romotier with relations between them at a very low level.
In the 1990s, most of the major heavyweights in boxing were represented by King.
The eccentric American promoter controlled the division for a time with Tyson one of the many on his books.
However, “Iron Mike” later discovered problems with his finances and in 1998 sued King for $ 100 million.
Tyson alleged that he was cheated out of millions during their working relationship. They eventually settled for $ 14 million.
In the years that followed, Mike gave King numerous interviews.
He had previously described the 89-year-old man as “ruthless”, “deplorable” and “greedy”.
Tyson also told the famous story of when he kicked King in the head while they were fighting on a road trip.
When they were reunited on stage at a Boxing Hall of Fame event in 2018, King walked past Tyson.
He seemed to approach his ex-fighter and put his hand on his shoulder as if to greet him.
Tyson reacted angrily and threw his water at the promoter, who then rushed off the stage.
