The Washington Capitals, National Hockey League and adidas today unveiled the new authentic adidas ADIZERO Reversed Capitals jersey that the team will wear for select games in the 20-21 season.
adidas worked closely with the NHL and each of the league’s 31 teams to design an inverted retro jersey depicting unique and historic moments in each club’s history, while refreshing the combination of color and design for a whole new presentation. The adidas Reverse Retro program creates a new formula to showcase the passion of fans. The main design theme during adidas’ two-year process was to tap into each team’s jersey archives and team colors, remixing them to create something new and never seen before. With this in mind, adidas created unique and desirable jerseys that incorporated inverted team colors.

The Capitals’ retro inverted jersey will be available exclusively at Capital One Arena and MedStar Capitals Iceplex team stores from December 1 as well as online at shop.monumentalsportsnetwork.com and NHLshop.com.
