The undefeated reported citing sources that Thompson’s right leg injury occurred while playing against other current and former NBA players at a gym in downtown Los Angeles. Thompson would have needed help getting out of the gym.

The Warriors, who finished as the worst team in the NBA last season, had no Thompson on the field at all during the coronavirus-cut season because he was working back after surgery for an ACL tear left knee. He suffered the injury in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors.
