Twitter and Facebook CEOs Testify Before Lawmakers Following Election – Live | Technology


Hello and welcome to the Guardian’s continued coverage of the tech titans’ latest appearance before lawmakers in Washington.I am Kari Paul, one of the Guardian’s West Coast tech journalists, and I’ll provide you with live updates throughout the day.

The general managers of Twitter et Facebook take the floor on Tuesday to once again bear witness to allegations of anti-conservative bias on their platforms.

Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey were subpoenaed in October to appear at Tuesday’s hearing with the Senate Judiciary Committee to “review corporate management of the 2020 elections.”

Republican lawmakers frequently allege censorship of conservative views, but this particular hearing was called in response to the corporate management of the a New York Post article on Joe Biden.
