Tony Khan confirms plans for January beach show, talks about potential PAC and Riho returns

We’ll have to wait four months for the next AEW PPV in February, but Tony Khan says we’ll have specials until then. Khan spoke to the media during AEW’s post-Full Gear virtual media melee and announced that a “Beach Break” special will be held in January as a special event. He also discussed which stars AEW couldn’t use because they are overseas and cannot come regularly due to COVID travel restrictions; you can check out the highlights and the full video below. On the potential return of stars like PAC and Riho: “I have been hoping for a long time. The problem is, sometimes for people who live abroad, when they return they have to be quarantined on arrival, which is quite understandable. And this has been the problem for a long time. I’m really happy to get all of these people back, PAC included, whenever possible. And every time he comes back I think people are going to have to stay tuned. I’m really excited for PAC and a lot of our other returning international stars. He’s definitely one of the best wrestlers we have. And I think it’s a testament to how deep we have on the roster that we’ve been able to do great shows like tonight without him and some of the great wrestlers that we were missing. Like some joshi like Riho and Yuka Sakazaki. ”

On if they have any plans for promotions by the Revolution in February: “You announced news that I will announce. There will be Beach Break in January. And in December, we also have some huge events coming up. And the Dynamites, those to come will also be huge. So, we have a really big list of Dynamites coming up, and some big events. I think in December we’ll see some of our biggest shows that we’ve done. And I think in January Beach Break will be a big event.
