EAMONN Holmes and Ruth Langsford could be eliminated from This Morning – but eagle-eyed viewers have spotted their mugs are still on set.
The couple are replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary – The Sun first revealed in September that the couple feared they would be cut.
Ruth and Eamonn, who are reportedly “furious and upset,” have been on the show for 14 years.
But fans have referred to them on set today – even though hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield didn’t mention the story.
Cups with the letters “E” and “R” were spotted prominently on a shelf at the start of the show.
One onlooker laughed, “Who @thismorning decided not to change the cups of amonn and Ruth?” ”
Speaking ahead of the announcement of his replacement, Eamonn explained that the trolls had campaigned to have him fired from This Morning.
Speaking to fans in a Facebook chat with Belfast Live, he said: “People say it’s water from a duck’s back, but people wake up and know they can get you fired… ”
A TV insider previously told The Sun that Eamonn feared he was “too pale, stale and masculine” to remain a regular face on This Morning for much longer.

They explained, “Eamonn and Ruth are incredibly popular with viewers and loved across the board.
“No one wants to see them go. Show directors have very delicate decisions.
“Eamonn fears being fundamentally too” pale, stale, and masculine “and, at 60, maybe out of step with the youth broadcasters are looking for. ”
Alison, 45, and Dermot, 47, had already impressed bosses when they hosted the show together over the summer, with producers keen to add more diversity to their line-up.
