‘The Mandalorian’ season 3 production begins, spin-off and cast – Deadline

Original Disney + Signature Series, The Mandalorian, has just returned for its second season, which had wrapped up production just before the pandemic struck in March. Although not officially greenlit, a third season of the hit Star wars The series has been in pre-production for months, with creator, director and executive producer Jon Favreau publicly stating that he hopes to start filming by the end of 2020. This may be the case, with some sources indicating that the new season could start production in late November / early December and as early as next week, while others are pointing towards early 2021.Season 3 of The Mandalorian was recently listed in Production Weekly with the working title Boucanier, triggering a guessing game among fans as to what that moniker might imply. As usual, Lucasfilm and Disney + are keeping quiet on details of the new season, including the cast.

Adding to the confusion, the fact that Disney + is developing a Star wars The series, written and presented by Leslye Headland, is said to be a female-focused action thriller with martial arts elements and set in an alternate timeline of the regular Star Wars universe. It is said that the supposed fallout is distinct Star wars project but the situation is fluid.

The Mandalorian is a Western space, which begins five years after the events of Return of the Jedi and stars Pedro Pascal as the main character, a lone bounty hunter who is hired to retrieve “The Child” (aka Baby Yoda).
