Life in a year [Amazon Original]

A young man tries to give his girlfriend unforgettable experiences the year he leaves.

Life in a year was directed by Mitja Okorn (Letters to Santa) and stars Jaden Smith (Lowering), Cara Delevingne (Carnival Row), Nia Long (Empire) and Cuba Gooding, Jr. (A few good men).

It should be noted that the film was shot in Toronto.

The stewardess

An air hostess wakes up hungover and with no memory of the previous night in her hotel room with a dead body, which leads her to wonder if she really is the killer.

Based on the novel of the same name by Chris Bohjalian in 2018, The stewardess was developed by Steve Yockey (Supernatural) et stars Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory), Michiel Huisman (The iron Throne), Zosia Mamet (Mad Men) and Rosie Perez (Without fear).

The stewardess is one of several US-only HBO Max originals that arrived in Canada via Crave as part of Warner Media’s exclusive deal with Bell.

Based on “The Desperate Battle to Destroy ISIS” by Luke Mogelsen The new yorker functionality, Mosul tells the story of an Iraqi SWAT team and policeman as they battle ISIS in the decimated city of Mosul.

Mosul was directed by Matthew Michael Carnahan (senior director, co-writer of Deep water horizon) and stars Suhail Dabbach (The Hurt Locker), Adam Bessa (Extraction) et Is’haq Elias (City of a million soldiers).

This documentary follows the rise of Pickering, Ontario’s own Shawn Mendes, and a behind-the-scenes look at his life on his eponymous world tour in 2019.

Shawn Mendes: in wonder was directed by longtime music video maker Grant Singer (director of Scarborough, The Weeknd’s “Starboy” in Ontario).

It should be noted that the film fell just in time for Mendes’ fourth studio album, Wonder, which comes out on December 4.
