Special weather report issued for Toronto as strong and gusty winds are expected on Sunday


The first day of November will be very windy in Toronto, prompting Environment Canada to issue a special weather report for the city.

In a notice issued on Saturday afternoon, the weather agency said an Alberta clipper would bring wind gusts between 60 and 70 km / h starting Sunday morning.

“The winds will then strengthen on Sunday evening with gusts of up to 80 km / h,” Environment Canada said.

The regions of Halton, Peel, York and Durham are also the subject of a special weather report.

It will be cloudy with a high of 8 C and a low of 0 C on Sunday in Toronto.

Showers are expected in the morning, while a few flurries and local blowing snow are expected in the evening, Environment Canada said.

Winds will ease Monday morning, according to Environment Canada. It will be sunny on Monday with a maximum of 6 C.
