I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here! came at the right time for the old one EastEnders star Shane Richie as he talks about his debts.
The actor revealed that while he had not signed up for the ITV show due to his financial worries over COVID-19, the paycheck would be a huge relief for him in the current situation.
“We got the call in January and I agreed to do it because it was the 20th,” Shane said. “My kids were old enough to travel to Australia and they wanted to meet Ant & Dec. We were all very excited.

“We were going to adapt it to my other job while I was going on tour, doing a TV series and panto – but it got canceled in March.
“And now I’m literally skinny. You save money for a rainy day but you don’t expect the rainy day to last six months.
“Fortunately, I was able to borrow money from my friends, family and the bank and now my wife is very happy that we can finally pay off the credit card! “

Shane, who played Alfie Moon in the BBC One soap opera and its 2017 spin-off Red water, previously spoke about his homeless experience.
