Arm wrestling Romain Ntamack was excluded from France’s autumn Nations Cup match against Scotland at BT Murrayfield on Sunday.

French midfielder Romain Ntamack will miss the game against Scotland in Edinburgh.

The French rugby federation has said Ntamack will be replaced by uncapped Toulon player Louis Carbonel.

France did not specify the nature of the injury or how long Ntamack will be sidelined, but his withdrawal is a blow to the team. The remarkable Ntamack formed a promising half-back with Antoine Dupont and the duo impressed in the Six Nations as France beat England, Wales, Italy and Ireland. The only game they lost was against Scotland in Edinburgh in March.
