Report: Toronto Raptors add Chris Finch to Nick Nurse coaching staff

The Toronto Raptors and Chris Finch are finalizing a deal for Finch to join head coach Nick Nurse’s coaching staff with the Raptors, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Finch coached with the New Orleans Pelicans, and he also spent time as an assistant with the Denver Nuggets. Wojnarowski points out that Finch has a long history with Nurse that dates back to when both men were coaches in the G-League as well as in Europe.

The announced decision to add Finch comes shortly after the Indiana Pacers hired Nate Bjorkgren, who had served as an assistant to the Raptors under Nurse, to be their head coach.

The NBA and the Players Association recently jointly announced that the 2020-21 season will begin on December 22. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions imposed by the government on the city of Toronto, it is not yet known whether the Raptors will be able to play in Toronto in the coming season or whether they will have to relocate to a city in the States. -United.
