The Sun alleges today that the mole has evidence that could help Coleen win Becky’s libel lawsuit against her, after a High Court judge ruled last week that Becky had legitimate grounds to sue Rooney for libel.

The so-called Wagatha Christie scandal exploded last October when Coleen alleged that she left a trail of false gossip on her family in an attempt to determine who might sell stories about her to the press.
She claimed to have limited her private Instagram to one follower: Vardy’s account.
Becky, who was pregnant at the time, said in court documents that she had been brutally abused online, including a troll telling her they hoped her baby would be microwave .
She has vigorously denied being the source of three specific false stories about Coleen that appeared in The Sun.

Now her lawyers are wildly making claims that Coleen has an insider who was previously “close” to Becky who is willing to oppose her in court.
“Coleen is ready for anything. She has a lot of solid evidence, including statements, and plans to call witnesses if it goes to trial, ”a source told The Sun.
“Coleen also has a big reveal up her sleeve that she intends to use if this happens in court. ”
But Charlotte Harris, of Becky’s Kingsley Napley law firm, said: “There can’t be a ‘mystery witness’ to something that hasn’t happened.

“The simple fact is, Rebekah Vardy hasn’t disclosed Coleen Rooney’s private Instagram posts and nothing can change that. ”
The two GAFs now have until February 8 to reach a settlement in their peace talks, which could imply Coleen offering Becky a financial incentive to keep the case out of the courtroom.
But if mediation fails, the pair will come face to face in the High Court next year in a five-day trial, where the financial stakes are higher if Coleen loses, as she would have to pay both damages and charges for Becky. .
