**************************Nova Scotia Health advises on potential exposure to COVID-19 at the following locations:

  • Economy Shoe Shop Bar and Restaurant (1663 Argyle St., Halifax) on November 8 between 8:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Anyone present at this location during the specified time is urged to watch for symptoms of COVID-19. It is expected that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the date indicated may develop symptoms until November 22 inclusive.
  • John W. Lindsay YMCA Gym (5640 Sackville St., Halifax) November 9-10 from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. Anyone present at this location (only the gym section of the establishment) during the indicated period is asked to watch for symptoms of COVID-19. It is expected that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the dates indicated may develop symptoms until November 24 inclusive.

Visit covid-self-assessment.novascotia.ca/ to do a self-assessment if in the past 48 hours you have had or are currently living:

  • fever or cough (new or worsening)

OR

  • two or more of the following symptoms (new or worsening):

o sore throat

o runny nose

o headache

o shortness of breath

You can also call 811 if you do not have online access or if you have other symptoms that concern you.

Do not forget:

  • To isolate yourself until you receive 811 tips on next steps.
  • Do not go directly to a COVID-19 assessment center uninvited before 811.

Currently, anyone traveling to Nova Scotia from outside the Atlantic provinces should self-isolate for 14 days after arrival. As of November 9, if a person traveling for non-essential reasons enters Nova Scotia from outside Atlantic Canada, everyone in the home where they self-isolate will also be required to self-isolate.
