But I think it is possible.

“I hope I win a place and that I play very well at the camp that they are obliged to keep me there. But I’ll be happy with whatever the plan is. My goal will always be to make the NHL as fast as possible. And I’m ‘I’m going to do whatever it takes to get into the League right away. ”

Perfetti is one of 46 players invited to Canada’s selection camp, scheduled from November 16 to December 16. 13 years old in Red Deer, Alta., For the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship, scheduled for December 25 through January. 5 at Rogers Place in Edmonton. “I was really very happy to go to the Jets with their future and their trend,” said Perfetti. “The players they have are just world class players like [Mark] Scheifele, [Blake] Wheeler, [Kyle] Connor et [Patrik] Laine… the list goes on, there are so many great players. Just to think of having a chance to play with some of these guys, it’s pretty amazing. ”

The Jets have announced Perfetti’s draft selection by Crystal Hawerchuk, wife of the late Dale Hawerchuk.

Hawerchuk was No. 10 in the Jets from 1981 to 1990. The Hockey Hall of Fame and original Jets top scorer with 379 goals and 929 points died of stomach cancer at age 57 on August 18.

“Just a really special time,” said Jets general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff. “The way the stars lined up in our 10th year, when we got the chance to take the 10th pick, we got the idea that who was better placed than the biggest number 10 in Jets history from Winnipeg? When we spoke to her and the family, the raw emotion was so special. ”

Perfetti played the wing and the cross for Saginaw. He said on October 7 that his preference was in the center.

“I think I’m a better center and can have more of an impact there,” Perfetti said. “But at the end of the day I’ve been playing wing and center all my life so whatever the coach (Paul Maurice) wants and get excited to do it. Come in and be happy and hungry for sure. ”
