A pedestrian woman has died following a fatal collision with a car outside the I’m a Celebrity castle.
Ambulance teams rushed to the scene near Gwrych Castle in Abergele, north Wales, around 5 p.m. on Saturday, where the woman was pronounced dead following a collision with a Volvo car blue.
The incident took place on a dark stretch of road with a 60 mph limit near Middle Gate on Abergele Road, near where tourists are said to have congregated.
The A547 was closed for more than 15 hours following the tragedy, a police investigation is underway.

A local man said: ‘Barriers have been put up on the sidewalks further down the road due to the expected influx of tourists, although they have a better view of the lighted Gwrych Castle from Pensarn beach, where it is also more secure.
“Where it happened is a dark section of the road and there have been bad crashes before. “
He added, “There were I’m a Celebrity fans outside the castle on Saturday night.

“But if the show had something to do with what happened, I don’t know. There is a private entrance into the nearby castle grounds.
On social media, it was claimed that some fans were climbing the walls to try and get pictures.
North Wales Police said: ‘We are calling for witnesses following a collision on the A547 Abergele Road near Llanddulas in which a woman sadly died.
“We received a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a blue Volvo station wagon at a location known as Middle Gate at 5:06 pm on Saturday.
“A local woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Volvo was shocked, but unscathed from the collision.
Road Police Unit Sergeant Emlyn Hughes said: “I call on anyone who may have witnessed this tragic incident, or who may have footage from the dashcam, to contact the Road Police Unit. .

Over 40 security guards protect the I’m a Celebrity… Get me out of here! campmates at Gwrych Castle – the show’s new home after moving from Australia due to the coronavirus pandemic – with some nearby roads closed.
Guards in high visibility vests were seen at the entrances which were sealed with metal fences as guards with night vision goggles patrol the interior of the forest surrounding the camp.
Paths to the 4,000-acre estate have been blocked, including those near Emily’s Tower which sits above the grade I-listed 19th-century castle.
The sidewalks in front of the main entrance have been blocked off to prevent people from gathering and a campsite and the Manorfan farm park next to the castle have also been closed.
The ten participating celebrities include Olympic athlete Sir Mo Farah, 37, funnyman Shane Ritchie, 56, and Corrie legend Bev Callard, 63.
