Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spoke to the press on Tuesday as he provided a preview of Manchester United’s trip to face Istanbul Basaksehir in the Champions League. United have already recorded two impressive wins in Europe this season and Solskjaer knows that another midweek on his side could do anything but secure them a place in the knockout stages of this year’s competition.
Solskjaer will demand a serious improvement from him for the game with heavily criticized United following their tame weekend loss to Arsenal in the Premier League.
United were accused by Roy Keane of running out of leaders in the squad behind in this game and Solskjaer defended his players when Keane’s comments were mentioned at the press conference.
“Well, Roy has always been blunt,” Solskjaer said. “I’m very happy to have the players I have here. We have different jobs, and his is to give his opinion.
