“I decided to get engaged,” the 51-year-old told People magazine. “Fortunately, I was dating the tallest woman in the world at the moment. ”
Earlier this month, Perry took to Twitter to tell fans that the highly anticipated “Friends” reunion will now take place in 2021.
“The meeting of friends is postponed for early March. Looks like we have a busy year ahead. And that’s how I like it! Perry, who played the role of Chandler Bing on the hit series, wrote.
With a wedding in the cards, it looks like Perry’s year is going to be even busier.
Fans of “Friends” have been patiently awaiting the special, which has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The actor’s co-star David Schwimmer had said in July that they hoped to start filming, but told Jimmy Fallon they had to “wait until it’s safe.”
“Friends” co-creator Marta Kauffman said she wanted a live audience for the special.
“It’s a show that isn’t scripted, but that’s how the show works,” Kauffman told Entertainment Tonight when the reunion was first delayed last spring. “We’re going to need a live audience. Even though we socially move away that live audience, that’s really a big part of what “Friends” is. We cannot do it without them. “
