The EastEnder, 19, says she’s struggled to keep the extra pounds off since joining the show.
After admitting that she wasn’t sure about her cellulite, the actress doesn’t seem overly concerned about eating too much.
Maisie, who has played Tiffany Butcher on the BBC soap opera since the age of six, says food preparation and lack of time at the gym are a problem.
She told the Daily Star: “I put on weight! I make weekend dinners to last the whole week and eat them within two days.
“The gyms are closed and I’m a gym freak – this is where I feel happiest – but I don’t feel like I’m missing out.
“On the first lockdown I struggled without the gym, but this time around I didn’t feel that way.
“I am getting so strong every day. And dancing is the most fun! ”
Maisie made a provocative return to Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday night, after two weeks in the dreaded dance-off despite impressive scores and performances.
Some called her “arrogant” in the first four weeks – but she says viewers are wrong.
She revealed that she is actually very shy and called for some understanding.
Maisie told the Mirror: “People forget that I’m a 19 year old girl. I would ask people not to judge my character by certain faces that I shoot when I dance and maybe not be too quick to guess who someone is.
“I don’t have any confidence in myself at all and I try to be more confident, let’s not hate it. ”
She added, “When I was asked to do Strictly, even though I was so horny, part of me thought it wasn’t the best idea for me because I’m too shy.
“Over the past two weeks I’ve put on a confident front to cover my nerves and maybe this has come in a different light than I wanted.
“I wish I had been that confident person – that’s the most amazing thing for someone so young to be confident and that’s what I’m looking for.
