“Three is a dynasty, three is like a team and then I had two and I was like ‘no way! Two is company and three is a crowd.

Konnie met the creator of Black Mirror on an episode of his show, Screenwipe, in 2009 and they got engaged nine months later, in June 2010.

According to the mother-of-two, she found out he had no plans to have children and informed him that he was a deal breaker.

‘And so… he obviously saw the gene pool I had and thought,’ That wouldn’t be good! ‘I don’t know, he kind of changed his mind.

The children’s TV presenter revealed the quality that drew her to Charlie and why she barely uses the internet.

Konnie said, “I don’t have an Amazon account, an Uber, a Deliveroo… nothing. I’m not even on Facebook, I’m an old-fashioned person.

“That’s one thing that drew me to Charlie, a guy who’s good at phone conversations is a pretty rare thing, and Charlie is really good at having a phone conversation.”

“I am anti-consumerism. I am not buying anything. Me and Charlie yin and yang there.

“I always say I’m really analog and Charlie is really digital. My oldest is digital and my youngest is analogue.

She explained her digital-to-analog comparison and added, “The older one is like his dad… he likes to tinker with gadgets. The youngest loves to go out and be sociable. He’s a classic boy.

Konnie revealed that his family of four took the lockdown very seriously and barely ventured outside.

She said: “We took the lockdown pretty seriously in this house, we barely got out at all.

“Even on our allocated walks, we were like, ‘We’re going to let someone else use the air. Common air. We can do without these walks. We delivered everything.

“I am rather a homebody, I am a social recluse. We both are, it was about as normal, other than the kids being around, which was the worst part.

“When the lockdown was over, I said to my son, ‘are we going to go to the park? He was like ‘do we have to do this? I was like, ‘You haven’t been anywhere in months!’ ‘
