Katie Price has spoken candidly about her struggle with the size of her eldest son Harvey, the teenager now weighing 28 pounds.
The former glamor model, 42, explained that she had to take drastic measures to try to cut down on her diet and even started padlocking the refrigerator, reports The Sun.
Harvey, 18, has multiple disabilities, including blindness and ADHD, and also has an excessive appetite caused by a genetic condition of Prader-Willi syndrome.

Katie said, “He needs to lose weight or he will die eventually. He doesn’t deserve this. I don’t want to lose him… I’ll do anything to help him.
It’s a cruel and horrible disease where he’s hungry all the time – and if he doesn’t get food he gets angry. This is a difficult work.’
The adoring mother-of-five also revealed that Harvey laid two stones in just two months and if he was denied food he could smash walls and become frustrated.
After that increase, it has now become “critical” for Harvey to lose weight with doctors telling Katie her teenage daughter is at risk for a heart attack.

However, it is not easy for Katie to exercise her son and change his diet, she recently took to gym equipment on Instagram.
She also said the teenager has also been known to eat in his sleep, and he was once caught looking for snacks in a friend’s bag and eating frozen pizza.
Katie also said Harvey, who now wears 7XL clothes, doesn’t understand why she wants him to lose weight.
She said: “He’s going up the stairs and he’s sweating and out of breath. I’m really upset and worried about Harvey’s weight because now he’s on, the damage is done.

In early November, Katie launched an appeal for fans to help procure gym equipment ahead of a second lockdown from the UK, which will force gyms to close.
Katie wrote, “Can anyone help. I’m looking to rent a treadmill and rower for Harvey that can support his weight, 28 half stones and other gym items because thanks to the lockout I have to make sure he can exercise at the House. Please help me, DM me.
After her health crisis in July, a spokesperson for Katie told MailOnline that she was going to make lifestyle changes for her son and try to ‘reduce his weight’.
In June, Harvey was rushed to intensive care after struggling to breathe. He experienced extreme chest pain and a high temperature and was thought to be at risk for organ failure.

Katie remembers seeing eight doctors gathered around him in the intensive care room and said she was “terrified” by the horrific ordeal. He was released after 10 days.
It hasn’t been an easy month for the family, with Harvey also being targeted in a cruel video online.
An emotional Katie told The Sun, “They take him because he’s black, obese and disabled. “
On November 5, a 52-year-old man was arrested for the black-faced racist video mocking disabled Harvey.

In the video, a woman in a fake tan says, “If someone says something horrible to Harvey, what do you say? before a man in make-up replies: “Hello, you c ** t”.
Speaking at the time, Katie said “words cannot describe how upset I am” as she revealed she reported the message to police.
Due to Harvey’s complex needs, he lives in residential care facilities, but has been home with Katie amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Katie is also the mother of sons Junior, 15, and daughter Princess, 13, with ex-husband Peter Andre and son Jett, six, and daughter Bunny, five, with ex-husband Kieran Hayler.
