Danny Mills has suggested Liverpool could withhold information on Joe Gomez amid fears his injury was worse than previously thought. The Liverpool center-back suffered a serious knee injury in a non-contact incident while training at St George’s Park in England.

Gomez faces a long period on the sidelines, but so far no time has been given on the defender’s expected return.

Former Premier League defender Mills thinks it is ‘strange’ and fears Liverpool are keeping their cards close to their chest as Gomez’s injury is worse than previously thought.

“There wasn’t a schedule given by the club, which I find a little odd,” Mills told Football Insider. “It’s a bit strange in itself to be honest.
