I’m a celebrity Bev Callard mortified as she sets foot in it with Vernon Kay

Coronation Street legend Beverley Callard was embarrassed as the conversation turned to TV around the campfire on I’m A Celebrity. The celebrities chatted around the fire and the Splash! was brought up.

The show followed celebrities as they attempted to master the art of diving in front of a live audience in an Olympic-sized diving pool.

Famous participants included Caprice, Dom Joly, Joey Essex Tina Malone and Gemma Collins.

The ITV show premiered in 2013 and was canceled the following year after only two series.

And Beverley didn’t hesitate when she said she thought it was “the dumbest program ever.”

Vernon hosted the show with Gabby Logan and Tom Daley was a mentor

Bev, who played Liz McDonald in Corrie from 1989 until earlier this year, was mortified by her mistake.

Vernon said: “It kept my central heating on in Beverley. “

And the 63-year-old actress apologized to Vernon, who also hosted Family Fortunes.

“Oh no I’m so sorry, Vernon, I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry,” she told him as their campmates laughed.

Speaking in The Telegraph, Beverley said, “I wanted to curl up and die, poor Vernon. I’m known to have been there, and I really did.

Vernon, 46, hosted the show with former gymnast TV host Gabby Logan and Olympic diver Tom Daley was the celebrity mentor.
