‘Idiots’ caught on dashcam causing chaos on Merseyside roads

There may be fewer cars and less traffic on our roads due to the government’s implementation of a second national lockdown, but there has been no shortage of reckless drivers in recent weeks. In dashcam footage uploaded to the “Idiot Drivers On Our Roads” YouTube channel, a range of drivers who clearly need to overhaul the traffic laws were captured.

From narrowly avoided accidents when changing lanes to downright dangerous maneuvers on the freeway, it’s a miracle that no serious accidents have been caused in some cases.

In one clip, a car turning right from Jericho Lane onto Aigburth Road almost causes an accident, after crossing the path of an oncoming driver in the left lane.

Meanwhile, dashcam footage taken on Stanley Road catches the moment a cyclist ignores a red light and races into the path of a car, avoiding it for only seconds.

In one of the most dangerous clips on camera, a car can be seen veering straight into the path of a heavy truck on the highway to descend at a junction they had missed.
