Holidaymakers visiting North Wales reported for flouting Welsh coronavirus rules


Three people taken on holiday in North Wales have been reported to have flouted the coronavirus rules. Police responded to concerns in Tal y Bont, Conwy, earlier today, following concerns that people from outside Wales were staying at a holiday home.

Officers have spoken to three people who have allegedly violated current guidelines banning international travel to Wales – other than for essential reasons.

The three have now left the area, police said.

It is not known where the vacationers came from.

A statement posted today on the North Wales Police in Conwy Valley Facebook page said: ‘Earlier today officers responded to concerns from the Tal Y Bont area community that people were staying in a holiday home outside of the North Wales region… ..

“During the participation it was discovered that these concerns were justified, in light of these 3 people were reported to have violated current Covid guidelines.

“As a result, people have since left the area.
