Hear Miley Cyrus & Dua Lipa’s New Track ‘Prisoner’

Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa have finally unveiled their long-awaited single, “Prisoner,” after months of rumors and teasing. The song is less in your face than what either artist has released this year, but Cyrus and Lipa are still having fun switching lines to a fast-paced, pulsating bassline.

Plus, the two pop superstars give off Thelma and Louise vibes with a gritty music video, which sees them driving a bus, dancing together, and eating frozen cherries before performing at a dive bar.

The video then ends with the text “In Loving Memory Of All My Exes – Eat Shit”.

Both Cyrus and Lipa have teased the release of “Prisoner” throughout the year. Last month Cyrus said the single was “a perfect mix of the two of us.”

In May, Lipa revealed that the couple had discussed their intention to partner with a song before the coronavirus pandemic. However, the lockdown restrictions forced them to delay their plans.

“Prisoner” is the second single from Cyrus’ upcoming album, “Plastic Hearts”, following his previously released track “Midnight Sky”. The record is set to be released on November 27 and will also include guest appearances by Billy Idol, Joan Jett and Angel Olsen.

Also on November 27, Lipa will perform a live concert titled Studio 2054. Lipa plans to perform from a warehouse for the event and will be joined by FKA Twigs. Tickets for Studio 2054 are on sale now.

On Wednesday November 18, Lipa was announced as the face of Puma’s “She Moves Us” campaign, which will see her working with the brand on initiatives aimed at empowering women.
