Graham Norton announces new project after leaving BBC Radio 2


Graham Norton swapped BBC Radio 2 for Virgin Radio UK after landing another gig behind the microphone.

The highly regarded broadcaster and presenter announced last week that he was stepping down from his role on Radio 2 after a decade of entertaining people’s ears.

From now on, he will present a flagship show for Virgin Radio UK on Saturdays and Sundays.

Speaking about his new job, Norton said in a statement: “I am excited and a little surprised to join Virgin Radio UK in 2021. I was very happy with my arrival, but the opportunity to host shows throughout. of the weekend seemed too good to be missed on.

Norton will host his last BBC Radio 2 show on December 19, after admitting he would be sad to leave the show.

“Obviously, I’m sad to walk away from my Radio 2 show,” he said. “Being a part of the Wogan House family will be missed, along with the listeners and their lives. “
