It was a relatively busy summer transfer window for Ed Woodward and United’s board – with Donny van de Beek, Alex Telles and Edinson Cavani, Facundo Pellistri and Amad Diallo.
Usually after the losses, fans and pundits identify some of the areas Solskjaer could address in the January window.
Gary Neville has previously shared his feelings about United’s failure in the summer transfer window, and an area they could tackle in January.
Neville told Sky Sports: “They wanted Jadon Sancho to obviously play on this side (right side) and it seems like a really bad mistake not to sign this position. ”
However, another Man United legend – Paul Scholes – disagrees with Neville and believes his former club should abandon their pursuit of Sancho and seek a center-forward instead.
Scholes told Stadium Astro: “(Anthony) Martial almost made us believe he was one at the end of last season because he had scored so many goals and was pretty good.
“He started badly again this season (speaking early October), which makes you think he’s not. It is misleading. That’s why I keep saying we need a first class number 9. ”
According to SkyBet, United have 25/1 to clinch the signing of Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe.
There is a good chance for the France international – who is widely recognized as one of the most talented center-forward in world football – but there has been a lot of speculation about his future at Parc des Princes.
United entered the international break by winning what was arguably their most important game of the season at Everton on Saturday.
The Reds under pressure came from behind to beat the Toffees thanks to Bruno Fernandes’ brace and Edinson Cavani’s first goal for United.
United have a two-week hiatus with many of their stars heading on international missions – we’ll be keeping an eye on their performances and preparations for their next Premier League fixture against West Brom.

In addition to that, other positions have been assessed at the betting site, such as midfielders Declan Rice, Dele Alli and Mesut Ozil.
Rice has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea, but he is rated at 14/1 to move to Old Trafford. Alli, who was out of favor under Jose Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspur at the start of this season – is only 8/1.
Ozil is at 16/1 after being excluded from Arsenal’s Premier League and Europa League sides with his contract expiring early next summer.
Sancho, whom United have pursued for most of the summer, is priced 5/1 to ultimately complete a move alongside Solskjaer.
