Ken Rosenthal de l’Atheltic reports that the league is expected to make a decision in the coming days. Although a potential discipline is expected, its magnitude is not known. The issue is further complicated by the fact that Turner is technically a free agent and not with the Dodgers at the moment.
MLB and the Players’ Association are moving closer to a resolution on Justin Turner, according to sources at The Athletic. Potential discipline aside, these questions remain: Is Turner experiencing symptoms? How did Turner get infected in a supposedly secure bubble? 1/2

Rosenthal went on to wonder if the situation would change Justin Turner’s approach to free will. That seems like a moot point given that JT is expected to quit with the Dodgers. If he received some sort of suspension, I seriously doubt that would change Los Angeles’ interest in bringing him back for a short-term deal.
The good news is that we may only be days away from the end of this situation. Turner has dominated the news cycle since the Dodgers won the World Series, and that’s all we’ve had to talk about since. Since this situation is somewhat unprecedented, few people know how the league will approach the penalty part.
