She also battles a nightmarish neighbor in the form of her husband Tim Metcalfe’s father, the villainous Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew).
After Geoff recently ruined Sally and Tim’s garden party to celebrate Faye Windass who had a new boyfriend and introduced him to the family, Debbie got Sally thinking.

She told him that she could never live with a neighbor like Geoff and that if she was Sally, she would move out.
But Sally doesn’t know much, Debbie has an ulterior motive as she is in cahoots with Ray Crosby, who buys properties in the area with a plan to build a high-rise building instead.
In tonight’s installment, Sally tells her friend Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) that she is considering moving, and Abi is worried.

But when Sally tells Debbie that she received the full asking price for her house after putting it on the market, Debbie encourages her to accept the offer.
If Sally decides to leave, she will end her reign as the oldest member of Corrie’s characters.
Will she take the offer and go for good?

Debbie actress Sue Devaney told MirrorOnline during a press call: “Debbie thinks she does everything for everyone’s good.
“She thinks if she does that it will improve people’s lives.
“Because Debbie is from that area, she thinks she’s going to do so much better now than she is.
“I don’t think she realizes the consequences for the people who have lived there all their lives.
“She comes in and destroys an area. ”
Sue added that Debbie deals with “facts and not feelings” and did not consider how this might impact her relationship with Sally, and how it might force Sally out of her home.
