Quebec has registered 1,037 new cases of COVID-19.
“The number of cases remains stable at around 1,000,” Health Minister Christian Dubé said via Twitter. “It is to reduce the number of (new) cases that we must continue our efforts to prevent hospitalizations and deaths.”
Montreal recorded more cases than any other region – 224, followed by Montérégie (173) and Lanaudière (140).
Twelve new deaths have been reported – one in the past 24 hours, eight between October 26 and 31, and three more before October 26.
The number of hospitalizations increased by three to 499.
Of those hospitalized, 81 are in intensive care, down from three.
Saturday, Quebec led22 767tests. This is the last day for which screening data is available.
