In a letter to faculty and students on Saturday, the college said the two students last visited campus on November 2 for classes. They say none of the students exhibited symptoms of the virus, that they wore masks, and that they followed campus health and safety protocols.
Hamilton Public Health does not believe the two cases are linked. In addition, they claim that there are no close college-related contacts and therefore no risk to the university community. Areas frequented by students are thoroughly cleaned.
Others who have been in close contact with the affected students have been contacted and asked to self-monitor for the next 14 days.
Mohawk College would like to remind everyone that if you are visiting a campus, be honest when answering the assessment questions.
