Comedian Sinbad Recovers From Recent Stroke – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth


Sinbad’s family say the comedian-actor is recovering from a recent stroke.

The Adkins family said in a statement to The Associated Press Monday that “It is out of genuine love that we share Sinbad, our beloved husband and father, is recovering from a recent stroke.

“Sinbad is a luminous source of love and joy for many generations. As he begins his path to recovery, we are steadfast and optimistic that he will soon make our hearts laugh, ”the statement continued.

Sinbad, 64, born David Adkins, is known for his stand-up work and appearances on the sitcoms “A Different World” and “The Sinbad Show”. The artist has also appeared in several films.

“Our family thanks you in advance for your love and support and asks for continued prayers for her healing. We also ask you to respect our privacy during this period, ”the family declaration read.
