Coach Nightclub Banbridge announces permanent closure in emotional statement


A very popular nightclub in Northern Ireland has announced that its doors will not reopen after being left in “an untenable position”. Coach Nightclub in Banbridge issued a press release Wednesday night announcing its final closure.

With four generations having passed through Coach’s doors, owners say the ad comes with a “heavy heart.”

They said: “It is with a heavy heart that the directors of Coach Nightclub had no choice but to shut down Coach for good. the company in an untenable position.

“The institution that is Coach has seen four generations through our doors, thousands of friendships formed, many marriages and even a few babies born.

“Tiesto to Nicky Romero, Pete Tong to Laid Back Luke, Timmy Trumpet to W&W, Eddie Halliwell to John O’Callaghan, Mella Dee to Hannah Wants. The list is long. Music has always been at the heart and soul of Coach and we have been honored to host these acts for you.

“The coach has been a part of a lot of our training and for many it was the first adventure at a night on the town. The first Wednesday coach of the summer when the exams are over will long be a memory to cherish with the promise of summer nights to come.

“Christmas get-togethers with friends usually started with our St Trinian night, a few days off and then back for boxing night and New Years Eve as well.
