Rumors are circulating that James Harden wants to be traded to the Brooklyn Nets to form a big three with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. While the names look good together on paper, some doubt the squad is actually good. Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers shared his early thoughts on the potential squad.

Davis appeared on the Da Windy City podcast with Mark Carman where he spoke about the recent business rumor. While he hasn’t fully given thought to the possibility of a Harden-Durant-Irving line, he does think the Nets have something good if the deal goes through.

“You have a great coach there, a great guy who knows the game from a point of view. If it happens, it happens, if not, it doesn’t. I’m trying to figure out what Anthony Davis is going to do. Once I get that, we’ll start looking at teams and things like that, but it’s going to be a really good team.

Recent reports reveal that there isn’t much traction regarding Harden’s request to go to Brooklyn. While the ideal scenario would be to trade the Nets players in exchange for Harden, the Rockets are not interested in this type of deal. Rather, they want Durant or Irving in exchange for Harden.

Either way, it’s an interesting response from Davis who is set to defend his title in the coming season. Even without James Harden, the Nets are seen as a legitimate title threat.
