Olivia screamed with joy and got so excited that she lost her balance and fell while greeting Santa.
Mum Ashleigh sent the video to Cardwell bosses on Facebook Messenger.
She said, “I just wanted to share a video of my daughter visiting Santa Claus today in your garden center.
“She absolutely loved it and so did we. You gave us an experience we will never forget. So thank you very much for your hard work in continuing to maintain the magic of Christmas for everyone.
“I think her reaction – even the over-excited fall – really said it all and even made my eyes cry as I looked at her. It was the first time Olivia had seen Santa Claus.
After Cardwell posted the clip to their social media, thousands of people shared their joy at his reaction.
Kerry Blair wrote: “Aww bless her little heart. It’s so adorable ”
Nicola Robertson said, “Oh my God, the excitement and magic of Santa Claus. It’s adorable. ”
Elizabeth McLean added, “Aaaww, she’s so cute. ”
Gail McCallum posted: “It’s just magical watching the little ones believe it.”
Helen Holt said: “It’s awesome. “
And Catherine Day added: “Absolutely beautiful! ”
Cardwell has hosted a variety of Christmas activities permitted under current coronavirus restrictions.
These include the Breakfast With Santa events; a SELFie Land for family photos either in a North Pole scene, or on Santa’s sleigh, or in his big chair; a Santa Express train and Father Christmas in the center to offer everyone a warm but socially distant welcome every weekend between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Cardwell’s chief retailer said: “Everyone here loves to watch the video of Olivia seeing Santa Claus.
“Despite all the gloom and gloom of the past few months, Olivia certainly put a smile on everyone’s face and showed us the magic of Christmas.
