5 prospects Celtics might consider negotiating for

The Boston Celtics have been championship contenders for years now. They were recently eliminated in the Eastern Conference final by the Miami Heat in the bubble. Now the focus will be on the 2020 NBA Draft.

For the fifth time in seven years, the Celtics will hold multiple first-round picks in the 2020 NBA Draft. It’s the third time in that streak they’ve had three. Danny Ainge built Boston using draft capital and this year he could use it to trade and get a player they need.

Something to watch out for is that the Celtics are reportedly looking to trade and are willing to pack their three first-round picks in order to facilitate a potential deal, per The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor.

The Celtics are unlikely to make all three picks where they are now. They have plenty of room to move around for a tall man or a leader if they feel the need. This is a top draft class and the Celtics are not in that top yet.

If they decide to move on to the 2020 NBA Draft, here are five prospects the Celtics might consider. These are different positions all over the pitch that could help the team fight next season.
