WWE Statement on WrestleMania 37 whereabouts reports, update on planned move


As reported earlier today, via Inside The Ropes and Ringside News, plans are in place to move WrestleMania 37 from the new So-Fi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. To Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla., The location Origin of WrestleMania 36 before the COVID-19 pandemic forced the event to be moved to the WWE Performance Center. It has been noted that WWE has “locked down” the various buildings in Tampa for WrestleMania 37 Weekend events.Regarding the original reports, Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline.com has confirmed that WWE is planning to move WrestleMania 37 to Tampa. It is not yet known when the announcement will be made. WWE issued the following statement to media in response to the inquiries:

“We have nothing to report and given the current environment, we continue to monitor locations for all of our potential events. ”

In addition, it was reported today by @Wrestlevotes that WWE is in the middle of a battle with the City of Los Angeles over who can legally cancel the previously announced event for that region, and when. They noted earlier that WWE’s contractual obligations are with the State of California.

It looks like WWE will be selling tickets to WrestleMania 37, but it’s unclear how many. Many factors are still pending due to the coronavirus pandemic.

WrestleMania 37 had previously been announced for Inglewood with the name “WrestleMania: Hollywood”. A new name and new location should arrive soon. WrestleMania 37 is set to take place on March 28, 2021 and, as of now, WWE has still listed it for Inglewood. Stay tuned for updates.
