WWE Raw results, recap, notes: Retribution boss revealed Murphy splits from Seth Rollins

After a long, bumpy hike, we finally learned who is leading the charge with Retribution. As surprising as the fact that the Invasion Party received a much-needed evolution in their presentation during Monday’s edition of WWE Raw, the man chosen for the spot that makes sense is even more surprising. While Retribution’s existence came with a lot of speculation about who would be the man behind the masked faction – with theories ranging from a member of the McMahons to the hope of a returning CM Punk – hardly anyone saw Mustafa Ali as the man pulling the strings of Retribution. . However, it was the shocking revelation that made the ThunderDome’s biggest takeaway inside the Amway Center in Orlando on Monday.

Mustafa Ali revealed as the leader of retribution

Ali stood by Apollo Crews and Ricochet through the night, notably joining his friends in declining MVP’s offer to join The Hurt Business. After The Hurt Business claimed a victory over Crews and Ricochet earlier in the night, Ali confronted the group behind the scenes, claiming he wanted Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin in the MVP corner for their match later in the night and made it clear that he would be in the ring alone.

Mustafa Ali vs MVP ended in a no-contest after Retribution’s attack: During the match, the lights flashed and the members of Retribution stormed the ringside. MVP asked Ali to help The Hurt Business fight them, which Ali initially agreed to, back to back with MVP, Benjamin and Lashley. Seconds later, Ali stepped out of the ring before telling Mace and T-Bar to attack. Retribution attacked The Hurt Business, eliminating them before posing in the ring with Ali, who was revealed to be the leader of the group.

Most of Retribution’s story has been about missed opportunities and bad decisions, but Ali’s revelation as the leader of the group was a big step in the right direction. He has a history as the mysterious hacker of SmackDown – a gadget that goes nowhere even before the reveal is over – and has spent months talking about not being used and showcasing his work in the Main Event. For guys who haven’t had a good shot in the business despite being a talent in the ring and on the mic, Ali is a great choice for Retribution and gives them a passionate spokesperson to help them with their Undeniably awful specials over the past month. . Murphy et Seth Rollins se bagarrent

Murphy et Seth Rollins battent. Humberto Carrillo et Dominik Mysterio via pinfall after Murphy hits Carrillo with a jumping knee. Before the game, Murphy and Mysterio got into an argument when Murphy told Rollins to apologize for his recent actions towards Aalyah Mysterio. Fighting continued during the match with Rollins trying not to allow Murphy’s tag-in. After Murphy won for his team, he stormed off, shouting about Rollins claiming not to need him. After the game, Rollins confronted Murphy backstage and said he had until 10 p.m. ET to apologize to him, a request in which Aalyah later said she hoped Murphy wouldn’t give in. .

By the end of the second hour, Murphy and Rollins were back in the room together, Rollins demanding that Murphy apologize or be broken. Murphy had finally had enough, with Rollins two-legged and attacking with punches before leading Rollins out and scuffling over the announcement table. The battle continued with the pair going back and forth around the ring until Murphy grabs a kendo stick and starts punching Rollins and asks him to apologize to Aalyah. Rollins finally did, saying he didn’t intend to bring her in there until begging Murphy to stop and say he had done enough. After Murphy stopped, Rollins jumped off the canvas and dug his thumbs into Murphy’s eyes before returning the fire with his own kendo stick punches. As Rollins grabbed a steel chair, Aalyah ran to the ring and begged Rollins to stop before the rest of the Mysterios ran to the ring and Rollins walked away before Rey and Dominik sent Aalyah away.

The long tease is over. Murphy and Rollins are gone because the disciple is tired of the abusive behavior of his messiah. While it’s still unclear where they’re actually going with the Murphy / Aalyah relationship, it’s still a bit uncomfortable considering the age difference between the two. But the nastiness of Murphy’s attack to force Rollins ‘apology and Rollins’ vile comeback attack was executed well, and the matches between Rollins and Murphy should be very good. Category B
