As WWE continues its true split brand in the second season of its new TV deals, it has now completed its final WWE project to shake up the rosters of its two main shows. The draft started Friday night on SmackDown and ended Monday night on Raw with all superstar from both lists available for selection.

There were 84 picks (men, women, teams and groups) during the two-day draft with Raw, a three-hour show, getting three picks for two for SmackDown. WWE initially split these Superstars into two groups to ensure that the biggest stars in society serve as attractions during the two-day draft.

The first night of the draft, which took place Friday on SmackDown on Fox, featured four of six WWE Singles Champions as eligible rookies, though all remained on their respective brands. The other two – Bayley (women of SmackDown) and Sami Zayn (intercontinental) – were up for selection Monday on Raw on USA Network; they both stayed on SmackDown.

Although the Fox-USA Network’s initial draft in 2019 received mostly negative reviews – it was largely boring and left the rosters spotty – WWE decided to use the same format with Brand Manager Stephanie McMahon announcing each choice. in a commissioner-type role. Improvements were made this year as WWE removed the pre-recorded War Room celebrations featuring cartoon robots and face-painted leaders and focusing on the reactions of the drafted superstars.

All that remains is to break down the WWE Draft selections and the new rosters.
