“I took a quick video between patients and played it without waiting for a response,” Osler said.
The doc has posted dozens of videos on COVID-19 and how to stay safe, with one video having more than 23,000 views.
“Getting this video to go viral, as some would say, really means it’s a way to get these important public health messages out,” she said.
The videos highlight key information about the virus and also demonstrate basic security principles, such as physical distance. The concepts are frequently illustrated by his two dogs.
Osler plans to continue making videos and will soon be discussing the importance of getting a flu shot.
She said she won’t be lip-syncing or dancing on the app anytime soon.
