The social network Twitter crashed, leaving millions of users worldwide unable to send tweets.Twitter users in the US and Britain say they can’t tweet as a result of the issue, which has also resulted in home page feeds being removed.

The unexplained blackout began around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, according to data from Downdetector.

One user wrote: “Is Twitter broken or is it just me?” “.

Twitter has yet to comment publicly on the nature of the problem, which is the platform’s first major outage since February.

Twitter yesterday temporarily blocked President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign account after posting a video about the son of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden who he said broke his rules.

The video referred to a New York Post article on Wednesday that contained alleged details of Hunter Biden’s business relationship with a Ukrainian energy company and said the former vice president had met with a company adviser.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey tweeted on Wednesday that “our communication around our actions on the @nypost article was not great. And block URL sharing via tweet or DM without any context as to why we are blocking: unacceptable.

After Twitter imposed the restrictions, the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee requested the subpoena on Dorsey.

Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham and Republican Senators Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley said the committee will vote on sending the summons on Tuesday, October 20 and plan to have Dorsey before the committee by October 23. .

Senator Hawley also called for a subpoena to be sent to Facebook.

“We’re finally going to have long overdue accounting,” Graham said. “For me, that crystallizes the problem better than anything I could think of. ”
