Trump loses to Biden in mayoral audience war despite airing on two other networks
Donald Trump lost his latest TV audience war with Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, who garnered around 600,000 more viewers than the US president at their competing town halls earlier this week.
The late ratings will be a blow to Mr. Trump, who has long been obsessed with his own popularity and has regularly militarized the supposedly poor TV ratings of other media figures to make fun of them on social media.

The president is preparing for more rallies this weekend, including in Wisconsin, where cases are on the rise, although it appears Minnesota health officials have traced two dozen cases to Trump’s events during last month.
State officials have also linked a positive coronavirus case to an event in Duluth on September 16 that was held in support of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

Wisconsin rally to continue despite coronavirus task force briefing saying residents should avoid crowds
The president will hold a rally in Wisconsin on Saturday, despite his own coronavirus task force warning the state that residents must avoid “crowds at public and social gatherings in private” or cause “preventable deaths.”
The briefing was published in a weekly report that is sent to governors – but not published publicly, the Center for Public Integrity reported earlier this week.
The latest report ranks Wisconsin fourth in the United States for new cases per capita and seventh for positivity testing.

Republican-appointed judges decide to restrict voting access 80% of the time, study finds
Republican-appointed federal judges and Supreme Court justices have spoken out in favor of restricting access to the vote 80 percent of the time in 2020, according to a study by a group supporting the expansion of the Supreme Court.
The group looked at all of the cases this year that judges and judges voted on that concerned “freedom to vote, access to the ballot or reduced signature requirements”.

White House orders Tennessee to implement mask rules
The White House said in Tennessee earlier this week that “a statewide mask warrant must be implemented” to contain its Covid-19 outbreak.
Republican Governor Bill Lee has left the counties to decide whether or not to require masks in public.
The president has said on several occasions that he is not in favor of mask requirements – going against CDC public health guidelines.
