While the clips aren’t released separately, they can be seen in the full MetaVerse panel above – with the first coming immediately at the start of the panel and another after the cast and Blum answer a few questions from fans. While the series itself has yet to receive a release date from the streamer, the cast teased the hilarious tone of the series as MODOK – or Mobile Organism Designed Only for Killing for the Classics – struggles with its failures of taken from the world and instead, suffered from a midlife crisis in her mundane life.
“We obviously love the character as a big bad guy who always tries to take over the world and run his evil organization.” [AIM]. His Jack Kirby design is so absurd and monstrous that we were like, where does this guy go at night? “Blum said earlier today.” Does he come home to a house and have all of these mundane things to do? Does he have a family we have never known? The more we talked, the more it made us laugh and then we tried to understand, what would this family be? Who would marry MODOK and how difficult would it be to be his son or to be a girl like MODOK? ”
In addition to serving as an executive producer, Oswalt also voices the titular character. He is joined by Aimee Garcia, who plays Jodie Tarleton (MODOK’s wife), Ben Schwartz as Lou Tartleton (MODOK’s son), Melissa Fumero (MODOK’s daughter), Wendi Mclendon-Covey as Monica Rappaccini, Beck Bennett as Austin Van Der Sleet, Jon Daly as Super-Adaptoid and Sam Richardson as Gary.
