With the COVID-19 pandemic having taken its toll on production, the CW’s “fall” season is winterized. The Weirdest TV season in memory will continue through January and February with the network setting the premiere dates for 11 return series and three new ones: Walker, Superman and Lois and Canadian pickup Filou. The CW announced in May that its 2020-2021 regular schedule would roll out in January and unveiled a fall 2020 lineup made up of acquisitions and the final episodes of Supernatural.

Series kick off when ready based on staggered production start dates and length of post-production – especially the multiple superhero shows that require elaborate special effects.
