The organizing body of the Rugby World Cup France 2023 has appointed the sports marketing agency Two Circles as the official ticketing partner of the rugby tournament for the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The tournament hopes to break records with 2.6 million ticket sales and generate up to 373 million euros ($ 437 million) in revenue in the three years leading up to the event.

“Our ambition is to host a tournament that breaks records, and our ticketing strategy will play a central role in our commitment to generate a record level of revenue to be reinvested in rugby,” said Claude Atcher, CEO of France 2023 .

“Two Circles has a proven track record of helping major global events achieve record-breaking ticket sales and reaching fans outside the traditional sports bubble – we’re delighted to have their support in reaching our friends across the Channel.”

Two Circles has helped achieve record-breaking ticket sales for other major sporting events, including the ICC Cricket World Cup, Open Championship Golf and ATP Tennis Finals.

The France 2023 partnership also marks the opening, in Paris, of Two Circles’ fifth overseas office, which will be managed by Two Circles consultant Clément Barouillet. In addition to France 2023, leading national football clubs Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Nice and Montpellier, as well as the organization of the Professional Football League (LFP), are also featured in the books of Two Circles.

Richard Harris, head of ticketing, hospitality and marketing for Two Circles, added: “There is a huge global demand for live experiences – even despite the pandemic – and a global centerpiece like France 2023 will be no exception.

“Due to the proximity to the UK and Ireland, we believe there are a record number of fans, both rugby fans and sports fans in general, who will want to experience a unique sporting event in life in unique and charming towns across France. ”

Tickets for France 2023 will go on sale in March next year.
