Strictly’s Dianne Buswell sent sinister threats accusing her of cheating with Max George


The bosses of Strictly Come Dancing are said to have tightened security after dancer Dianne Buswell received frightening threats falsely accusing her of cheating with her partner Max George. The pro, who is dating ex-partner Joe Sugg, has teamed up with The Wanted Max star for the 2020 series.

The Sun on Sunday is now reporting that Dianne has been targeted by a series of sinister online messages falsely accusing her of being unfaithful to her new dance partner.

One of the posts ominously stated that the poster had followed the dancer to where she was staying, ending with the words, “This will be the end for Dianne.” ”

The publication reports that BBC bosses have now stepped up security around the dancer and reviewed procedures to keep everyone safe.

A source told the publication: “It was really scary – because someone was claiming to be waiting for Dianne at a certain address. This triggered a security alert and obviously needed to be taken seriously.

“The producers took action, along with the security teams, and reassured the cast that their security is paramount. ”

The insider adds that security is already tight around the studio where Strictly is filmed, but bosses are now investigating whether to throw a ring around the stars’ accommodation as well.

A BBC spokesperson said: “We take the safety and security of our cast and crew very seriously.

“All of our security features are reviewed and adjusted accordingly for each live broadcast. ”

Dianne has been dating YouTube star Joe, 29, for two years after appearing together on the 2018 series of Stricty.

She is now paired up with Max and they danced in the first live show last night, wowing viewers with their Tango.
