It wasn’t always pretty, but Scotland got the job done with a 1-0 win over Slovakia in Hampden.Lyndon Dykes got the only goal of the game and they were the better team throughout the 90 minutes.

Steve Clarke made his Andy Considine debut after calling him this weekend.

There were also places on the bench for first-time Ross McCrorie and Paul McGinn, but neither showed up on the pitch for their international debut.

It was another night where Dykes was feeding on leftovers and he had Ryan Fraser as his partner in the middle.

But he stepped in to shoot the winner and put them to seven points at the top of their group in the Nations League.

Scotland now face the Czech Republic on Wednesday, but all eyes are on next month’s Euro 2020 qualifiers in Serbia.
